Our custom hat bar, a patch bar by another name, hands the design job to the guest. They grab a cap off the wall, trucker or dad-hat style from the blanks you pick, choose from the patch designs we've made for your event, point to where it goes, and a crew member presses it on while they watch. It's a natural fit for a Delmar Loop music night, a brewery event in Soulard or a game-day party full of people who already own the team tee.
What a St. Louis hat bar includes
- Caps to choose from, several shapes and colors picked to go with your brand.
- Patches made from your logo and a small set of designs you sign off on.
- Someone on the heat press who helps with placement and presses it straight.
- A display people photograph, useful at a pop-up in The Grove.
Plan on about 10×10 ft and two 120V circuits, same as a press station. It often runs beside a tee line and pulls a line of its own. The caps, patches and press are freighted from Fullerton ahead of the event.
St. Louis hat bar questions
Is it a western hat bar?
No. There are no felt hats, hatbands or brim burning at our table. It's caps with heat-pressed patches, and for a dressier room, a leather patch pressed onto a cap.
Will it work in a carpeted hotel ballroom?
Yes. Heat-applied patches are a dry process, so the hat bar is a default pick for a carpeted ballroom at a charity gala, and it does especially well with the younger tables.
When should the patch designs be final?
Well before the seating chart. Custom patches have to be made before the freight leaves Fullerton, and the crew flies in the day before load-in to set up.
