Live screen printing in St. Louis means a squeegee pushing ink through a mesh screen onto a shirt, right in front of the person who'll wear it. For one design going to a big crowd, it's the fastest method we have. Think America's Center on a show day, a sponsor space on game day, or a Soulard festival. Live t-shirt printing with screens suits art with one or two spot colors; send us a photo or a gradient and we'll put it on the DTF press.
The full kit comes by freight from Fullerton: presses, flash dryers, ink, blanks, tables and the printers who run them. It can go up in a Union Station ballroom or a Central West End pop-up. With two presses and two printers, our standard station puts out 100+ shirts an hour when the line is steady.
Why screen printing for a live St. Louis event
One to three colors, laid down thick, lasts through a lot of washes and is easy to read at a distance. The cost is flexibility, since screens get burned in California before shipping and the art has to be final about a week ahead. When you need photo art or names, run a live DTF station right beside it.
Quick test: same design for everybody? Screen printing. Different for each guest? DTF.
